18th February Return home Where does he go to? "He sets off for a distant country" (Luke 15, 13). What does he do? He has a dissolute living. He spends everything he has and he ruins his soul. In order to continue to exist he accepts to do the most disheartening work. He is hungry and nobody gives him anything to eat. His father's workers have plenty food and he in his rags is dieing of hunger. Is it to late to return back home? He thinks: What will he say? Does he have any excuse to be forgiven? No. He doesn't deserve anything. Yet, if his father would accept him as a servant! He stands up and returns back home. "As he still was far away his father saw him and was touched by compassion; he ran towards him, he fell on him and covered him with kisses." The son confesses his sin. The answer is that his father hugs his thin body in his rags and says: "Bring the nicest gown outside and cloth him with it." If you have turned away from God don't wait anymore, return to him.
