My relationship with my God

Yes, the infinite mighty God exists and he is interested in me! He is here when anguish comes over me and when my prayers are changed into groans. He is here in his greatness and his love. He is faithful until I again accept his supreme authority for my life and acknowledge in humility that He, and only He, takes care of his creature and what he becomes. I am "his creature"!

The Bible has a wonderful answer to all of them who only live for themselves and their problems, for them who are nibbled by anxiety and who are frightened by the day after: "Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. For the Lord is good and his love endures for ever; his faithfulness continues through all generations" (Psalm 100, 3 & 5). God is our Creator, God is our Master, God is our Shepherd. God is a father who gave us a Saviour, his only Son. God only can deliver us from our anguishes and this only when we turn towards him.

God instead of my problems and my confusion; when God is in the centre of my life I can start to live in peace with the others and myself again, and I can pray with joy and with hope: "Lord, you are bigger than my biggest preoccupations and you wish to care for them. Teach me to be submitted to you and to place my whole trust in you."
