To give account

A lot of mistakes are not measured by human justice, for instance, slander, pride, egoism, avarice and other forms of immorality. To steel, to lie, to betray one's husband or wife, to defraud tax, to falsify goods are easily practiced without provoking a big scandal as long as the law courts have nothing to do with these things!

It is true we can pass by human laws but we cannot avoid God's law. We cannot avoid God's justice which is absolutely holy. The eyes of God see into the deepest of our hearts. "Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account" (Hebrews 4, 13). Yes, God knows all our mistakes and he adds them to our account.
