(Jesus says:) "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." John 8, 12

Jesus answered: "I am the way and the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me." John 14, 6

On the good way

However, suddenly while the policeman is explaining him his way the small boy bursts into tears, he is to worried to only listen to the indications. At that moment a neighbour passes by. He takes him by his hand and takes him back home. When the child is to tired to walk he carries him home on his arms. The policeman explained the way to the child; however, the neighbour himself was the way.

Jesus is the way which leads to God. He doesn't only show the way which has to be followed, he takes care of them who put their trust in him to follow the way of life.

People can give advice: one has to do this or that, to go here or there, to consult one or another. Many human solutions have a commun point: we depend on our own resources. We have to save ourselves. However, what should we do if we don't have any strength any more or when we are discouraged? What should we do when we are disgusted of life, of the others and of ourselves? Just simply accept the help that Jesus offers us.
