The Christian race and it's stake

(Philippians 3, 12 - 21)

The apostle Paul was like this since Christ had stopped him on his way to Damaskus. He knew that he was pawned in the Christian race. He was like an accomplished athlete, he sustained his effort without deviation nor with a look at the past only thinking of the final prize.

Well, Paul offers himself to serve us as a trainer and he invites every Christian to follow him at one and the same time! Let us forget the things which happened in the past, our successes on which we would pride ourselves; our setbacks, because we would be discouraged. Let us strain towards the goal with effort, because this "all-purpose" race is far away from being a walk. The race is serious and it's stake essential. It is inconsequent to only think about earthly things when we have our homeland in heaven! What do 2 compatriots speak about when they meet in a foreign country? They speak about the country! We will always understand the Christians when we speak with them about our hope and about him who is expecting us in heaven's city.
