Jesus Christ is crucified

Christianity was spread throughout the whole Roman empire in a relative short time before it conquered the whole world. This seems unbelievable if we think that the foundation of this doctrine is a man who is overwhelmed by insults, mockeries and hits is nailed on a cross near Jerusalem. This man was the Son of God who was sacrificed for the world's salvation.

The message of the cross has been "dulled" throughout the centuries. However, let us think on the opposition he experienced when he met people, who certainly not were simple in spirit, because among them there were religious Jews on one side and on the other side there were Greeks trained in philosophy. When all the people heard the extraordinary preaching they raised there shoulders and declared: "What a foolishness!"

Well, this foolishness has conquered. This is the demonstration of it's divine value. The apostle says: "Christ crucified is the power of God and the wisdom of God; because the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength. However, God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise ... so that no-one may boast before God" (1 Corinthians 1, 24 - 29).
