To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. Titus 1, 15

13th March Conscience What is conscience ? It is an ability which God has given to man like intelligence, memory, thought etc.... Conscience is the intuitive knowledge of good and evil. Every person has a conscience: it is more or less ashamed when man does evil and more or less pleased when man does good. Now, you will ask what is called evil? Actually, we are living at a time where things which were disapproved a few years ago are now admitted on the whole; i. e. unmarried couples live together. The morals change and nowadays evil is called good. Conscience is less and less sensitive. By means of living in a world where moral values are ridiculed we risk to not react any more. We still have a conscience. Take care! If conscience is getting more and more insensitive because of the general slackening and the renunciation of godly principals, God himself does not change. He is the same and his eyes are to pure to support evil (Habakuk 1, 13). However, God is also love. He hates sin but he loves the sinner. This is why he wishes that everybody realizes the necessity of repentance and of salvation. |
