For he himself (Christ) is our peace. He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. Ephesians 2, 14 & 17

To those who love peace

Christ will impose peace with his sovereign authority. Earth will enjoy this peace with happiness. Earth has had a lack of this peace since the first mistake of Adam and Eve.

Neither can man know peace in his conscience and in his heart without having been reconciled with God. We are all rebellious and in war against him. This is why our soul does not have peace as long as it has not accepted Christ who by his blood on the cross made peace. The believer is justified before God and is in peace with him. His purified conscience does not trouble him anymore, his heart knows God's love and he can peacefully rest in God.

He presents his requests to his God and the peace of God which transcends all understanding fills his soul. He steps towards the stay of heavenly rest whatever the troubles may be and whatever the trials will be which he will go through. He says like the sheep in Psalm 23: "I will fear no evil, for you are with me." Jesus adds: "My peace I give you. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." (John 14, 27)
