These show thin children with an empty look who are sucking their thumbs while waiting for what kind of future? The article after these photographs explains that their principal problem is not really a lack of care but a lack of love. In fact every human being needs love from the cradle to his last sigh. You also know the need of affection sometimes only the need to tell somebody something in confidence to speak to somebody else about one's distress even if in advance you know that nobody can help you. Maybe sometimes you have dreamt of God whom you don't know well maybe could be interested in you; but the idea of your sins has led you to conclude that he can only punish you. |
There is an answer to this question: God loved you and brought a solution to the problem of your guilt. How? By sending his one and beloved Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for our sins to us. This is what the Bible, God's word, affirms: it also says that Christ resurrected from the dead and that he sits at the right hand of God.
Dear friend, know that God loves you and that he urges you to accept the Lord Jesus as your personal Saviour today.
