Deuteronomy 18, 10 - 12 Something serious A retired person lived alone in a house in the suburbs of Paris. He was a widower and everybody respected him in his neighbourhood. He was known as a Christian who likes to speak about his God and his Saviour. Often when he went shopping he started a conversation with his neighbours.

One day while he was repainting his white wooden fence which surrounded his garden on of his neighbours confessed to him:

- "Yesterday evening we spent with friends. It is unbelievable. They are passionated by occultism. They turn around tables and they said to us that at several occasions they knew in ahead what would happen to them. Oh! Mr. D. I know that you don't approve these practices and you know, deep inside I am like you and I don't believe them either.

- You are completely mistaken, my dear friend; contrary to what you think I believe in these practices but I also believe in them because God explicitly says in the Bible that these practices are diabolical and that one has to flee them."
