Finger movement

His eyes are not on the score anymore, they are fixed on the small finger of the conductor who is more than ten meters away. This conductor has his hand in front and moves his finger which by it's exactness gives the rhythm and by it's smallness indicates the wished volume. The audience holds it's breath.

All of a sudden the orchestra wakens up and the Italian conductor by using all his body movements and his expressions of his face conducts the musicians; they will say: "It is as if this maestro would hold our hand!"

What a harmony when a conductor can communicate everything what he feels with the instrumentalists and when they execute the interpretation of him who conducts them in perfect unity!

Do we know how to look at the hands and the face of our perfect leader, the Lord Jesus, in our church? Are we sensitive and receptive to his way of interpreting the circumstances we go through? Do we look for our own interest or do we think about unity? Do we stay behind when his hand gives us the bread and the wine which reminds us, we who believed, of his death?
