Communications

The world has a very complicated network of communication systems: radio, television, minitel, telephone, telefax, internet. Everything is broadcasted by satellites.

Events and news are immediately broadcasted from one end of the world to the other. This is how men and those who guide them distribute their thoughts and arguments and how they suggest their criterions and impose their choices whether they are good or disastrous.

Our contemporaries express themselves according to what they have heard and seen with these "medias".

What do we Christians do? Are our references based on such or such a source of information which often is contradictory or lying?

Let us rather listen to another voice, the only one which deserves to be listened to and believed: through the Bible we can hear God's voice and the Holy Spirit who lives in us shows us that God has the high hand over the events which upset the world. God's word permits the believer to situate the actuality in regard to eternity. Men think that they can do their will and arrive at their end, but God holds everything in his hand. Let us be assured that he will have the last word, at one and the same time for his glory and for the happiness of them who listened to his word.
