28th February His course Since sin has entered the world God has announced the coming of him who will smash the head of the serpent. The serpent embodies the devil. God confirms to Abraham that his descendant (Christ) will be the blessing for the earth, he tells Moses that he will raise up a prophet like him and he tells David that one of his successors will be a king of an everlasting and worldwide kingdom. Christ on earth. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born by a woman. He completely accomplished the will of God. Christ is crucified. This whole obedience leeds him to the cross where he accepts to die. He undergoes the complete judgement which we actually would have deserved for our sins. Christ is raised. He comes out alive of the tomb. Through this triumph over death he shows that he has conquered "him who had the might over death, i. e. the devil." Christ sits on the right side of God. God proves that he is satisfied with his beloved Son and with the good job of his Son. Christ will come back to fetch those who belong to him. He promised: "I will come back and take you with me that you also may be where I am." (John 14, 3) What a wonderful hope the believers can have to be with their Lord for eternity! Christ will exert his royalty on earth where he has suffered and undergone the shame of the cross. Christ gives back everything to God his Father. God's plans for eternity will then be accomplished.
