16th April God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water. 1 Peter 3, 20 Proof appears at the bottom of the ocean The discovery of the wreck has allowed experts to finally explain how this splendid liner which was a technical marvel could sink three hours after it's meeting with an iceberg. A lot of secondary causes have been taken into consideration, however, according to the samples found on the wreck the most likely cause is the putting together of rivets of the hull. It seems that some of them jumped and so opened the way to water which unavoidable led to the wreck of this floating palace which was called unsinkable. Apparently the conceptor said: "God himself could not even let it sink." Only some bad rivets were enough to teach humanity a severe and masterful lesson of humility on this famous 15th April 1912 when seeing it's masterpiece sinking into the icy water of the Atlantic Ocean. What a difference to the first "giant of the seas", the ark of Noah. This ark was constructed by only one man and led by God himself. The ark floated for about a year in the midst of the deluge. There is nothing equivalent to this in history. This ark preserved all it's passengers. Man should not forget this narrative either (Luke 17, 26). |
