One of God's commandments

There are laws which can be ignored without damage. However, there is a particular important commandment which comes from God.

God commands. This is neither an advice nor a recommendation but it is an order. You can disobey this order but not without supporting the consequences. The order is actual: God commands now. Now is the time of grace, today the day of salvation. Who is this commandment for? It is for all men. There is no exception, neither a race nor a place: in every place. Who ever you are, you are concerned by this godly order which is urgent and universal.

What does God command? He commands that men repent. To repent is to recognize that we are lost sinners who are guilty in front of God and who deserve his righteous judgment. God offers his forgiveness to him who recognizes himself as being a sinner according to the rule which God himself fixed: "Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him" (John 3, 36).

The order which God gives cannot leave anybody indifferent "because he has chosen a day when he will judge the inhabitants of earth with righteousness." Either you accept him as your personal Saviour today or else he will be your judge tomorrow. Answer him, answer him now.
