The globe

The astronomer Kirchner was, as it seems, a convinced believer. It is told that one day, one of his colleagues, who was an unbeliever, visited him. He noticed, in the room of the scientist, a globe manufactured with such remarkable care and precision that it drew his attention to him.

He asked: "Who made this globe ?
- The astronomer answered, nobody.
- Don't let us joke about it.
- His friend insisted seriously: it made itself.
- Let us go, you make me walk. Please give me a reasonable answer.
- You cannot believe that this globe manufactured itself, you are right of course. Do you think that the earth which is represented by the globe made itself?" The colleague had to close his mouth.

The act of creation exceeds the range of human intelligence. "Man cannot understand the work that God made", from the beginning to the end (Ecclesiastes 3, 11). The creature must keep its place with respect to its Creator.

Yes, creation is a testimony of the power and wisdom of God, so that those who do not discern them, are without excuse (Romans 1, 20). Let us accept the testimony of the Creator himself in the Bible, which is the Word of God.
