3rd October What is Jesus for you? In the quoted verse one can find several characters of the Lord Jesus. First of all his wisdom: he is wise because he teaches God's thought and lets himself be lead by it. Then he is mighty : the miracles which he accomplishes show that God's power is with him. More, he is full of pity for the ill people whom he takes care for. Last but not least he is humble: As the Son of God he lowered himself so far to be called the "carpenter's son". Really he made himself our fellow being. Do you think that the Lord Jesus changed because of going to heaven? No. His wisdom, his power, his love and his patience still characterize him today. We admire these characters in the Gospel. This is why we can trust in him without faltering. Nobody is like you Jesus, because you alone are truth. Everything in your adorable person is love, greatness and beauty. From now on we wish to live for you Jesus with a faithful heart and always offer you the holy tribute of our faith full of zeal! |
