Jesus said: "How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. Mark 10, 23 - 25 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. 1 Timothy 6, 10

The kingdom of God or the kingdom of money?

This prayer contains following request: "Your kingdom come!" We can hardly believe that this prayer expresses the genuine desire of our poor world when see our world running after another kingdom: the kingdom of money. Win, speculate, work to produce more, increase profits to be able to consume more and to have more leisures. Nevertheless, Jesus said: "How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God. It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God!" The disciples were amazed with this answer. They say to each other: "Who can be saved?" Jesus looks at them and says: "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God."

In other words the greatest hinderance to accept salvation is the attraction of wealth which fascinates human beings.

Let us examine ourselves genuinely. What has prime importance in our desires? Is it really the kingdom of God, that is the whole acknowledgment of his authority? Not only on the planet to finally establish righteousness and peace - this day will come - but first of all in our heart and from now on.
