A new start

This first day of the year will be as all the others. It will have 24 hours, will bring forth it's procession of concerns and joys, will drain a crowd of news items and it will end inexorably without having the possibility to stop it or to turn back.However, there are a lot of thoughts which jostle in our heads! We cannot start a year without questioning what it will reserve for us. The future is unknown; so the unknown brings forth fear. There is nothing which is more unbearable than the feeling of insecurity when we are touched by a bad event, a reverse, an illness, a setback or an accident.

The calendar on Internet is not a horoscope. It will not tell you what will happen with you this year. On the other hand, it's target is that you discover the message of hope in the Bible every day.

It is possible that today you have taken good resolutions for the new year. Good! The Bible exactly suggests to everybody who wants to listen to make a new start. This is more than good resolutions. It is the choice of somebody, who knows his own inability to do what is good and to give up evil and who surrenders to God without any conditions. It is to trust in the love, the omnipotence of our Creator who can and who wants to make us happy from now on and for ever in spite of the circumstances.
