The day after the party

The changing of a year mobilizes energies. Individual people and communities wanted to organize a great feast so that the moment would be unique and unforgettable. Artists rivalled with creativity for this celebration so that according to a magazine nobody will feel alone for the changing of the millenium. Nothing is said about the loneliness one can feel before and after changing the millenium. The days after the feasts often leave a bitter taste.

However, there is a message which is about 2000 years old and which makes the Christian happy every day of his life: Jesus Christ, God himself came to earth as a man and by his birth without a noise introduced the first millenium. Only heaven celebrated this event by the voice of the angels. After his death on the cross and his resurrection he told his disciples before going to heaven: "And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matthew 28, 20). Every hour of his life the Christian can experience that his Saviour and his Lord is with him, in the quiet days but also in the stormy days. You who suffer from loneliness accept the salvation that Jesus Christ offers to every sinner who repents and who believes in him. You will obtain forgiveness of your sins and you will not feel alone anymore because Jesus keeps his promises: you can tell him everything, your sorrows, your worries and your joys. He will be with you every day.
