A contemporary author lets somebody tell one of his persons: "I am part of these brave people who believed that it is enough to change the delivery system of goods so that robbery, murder and unfairness would stop."

19th April

When Jesus got out of the boat, a man with an evil spirit came from the tombs to meet him. This man lived in the tombs, and no-one could bind him any more, not even with a chain. For he had often been chained hand and foot, but he tore the chains apart and broke the irons on his feet. No-one was strong enough to subdue him. Mark 5, 2 - 4

Unchangeable

Well this is an illusion which multitudes have always been deluded with: If everybody would have the same share of material goods a golden age would be established. Neither rich, nor poor, so no more jealousies, disputes, deceptions, grudges ... and no more police-men, law courts nor prisons!

Alas! The sad feelings where robbery and crimes come from are not the product of inequality of men; they are the reason. Selfishness, pride, desire to dominate and greed are the things which breed violence and all kinds of misery.

And even if material happiness would exist for everybody, people would not be satisfied because "man does not only live from bread alone".

Neither will he live from empty words or steaming hope. His heart needs "God's word", and not other men's words. Now, God's word starts with showing that this poor creature is not able to reform it's nature which is marked by a will opposed to God's will.

There is only one person who can deliver us from this terrible moral constraint: the Saviour Jesus Christ. This is the Gospel.
