19th September My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no-one can snatch them out of my hand. John 10, 27 & 28 Give ear and come to me; hear me that your soul may live. Isaiah 55, 3 A sense for my life "He gives strength to the weary" (Isaia 40, 29). Are you in despair? Come to him, "the God of hope" who will fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him. (Romans 15, 13). Are you lonely, abandoned? Come to him who is "the father of the orphans and the judge of the widows. God sets the lonely in families" (Psalm 68, 5 & 6). Are you in the night? Come to him because he is light. He said: "Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life" (John 8, 12). Are you thinking of death? Come to him who is real life. He designates himself as a good shepherd who lays down his life for his sheep so that they may have life, and have it to the full (John 10, 10 & 11). God loves you. You are a unique person and you are precious in his eyes. He knows everything of you. He has given Jesus Christ, his beloved son, to clean you and to make you happy. Jesus died to wash you from all sins with his blood. Today he is resurrected and alive. In himself he has life, he gives eternal life free of charge. He who believes in him is delivered from the fear of death, because he has eternal life (John 5, 24). And from now on, he wants to give you a meaning for your life.
