We also know that the Son of God has come and given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true - even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. 1 John 5, 20

Who was Jesus Christ?

The person of Jesus Christ has always caused controversies. Superman? Visionary? In reality we have several proofs that Jesus Christ really was God who came as a person to visit earth and to approach to men. A number of these proofs don't come from believers but from unbelievers who observed him overwhelmed with amazement: "No-one ever spoke the way this man does," (John 7, 46). "Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him" (Luke 8, 25). "What's this wisdom that has been given him?" (Mark 6, 2) The man who was blind from birth whom Jesus gave back the sight was questioned by them who wanted to prove that Jesus was only a hoaxer. He gave them following relevant remark: "Nobody has ever heard of opening the eyes of a man born blind. If this man were not from God, he could do nothing (John 9, 32 & 33).

Christ's resurrection is testified by more than 500 witnesses. It was the demonstration of what Christ had said himself: "I am the resurrection and the life". How many of those who proclaim that they are sent from God have brought similar proofs? Jesus asks his disciples following question: "Who do you say I am?"

Let us answer like Peter did: "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God" (Matthew 16, 16).
