A word deleted from vocabulary

Man will tell you that this notion has been invented by the clergy to frighten people and to extract money from them. Some people only use the word sin to design something which is disgraceful and which deserves prison.

Nearly 2000 years ago God described the present time in an alarming way: "In the last days there will be terrible times. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God - having a form of godliness but denying it's power." (2 Timothy 3, 1 - 5) This is a tragic inventory of all evil-minded which the word sin covers. The source of sin is in the human heart.

In India there are crowds in the river Gange who shout: "O holy Gange, wash our sins away!" In black Africa and in other places sacrifices are offered to be reconciled with the gods. Every pagan has the feeling of sin. However, among christianity which should be better illuminated there are people who want to ignore the word deliberately. One day will come when every human being will have to give account to God for his life. Those whose sin will have been forgiven will be happy because they will have believed in Christ's work on the cross.
