a lost wallet

14th July

There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God - having a form of godliness but denying its power. 2 Timothy 3, 1, 4 & 5

They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. Titus 1, 16

"I have lost faith"

However, if we loose our wallet, we are not contented only by telling it. We do everything to find it again. We rack our brains: "What did I do today? Where did I go? When did I last have it? We repeat the way we have done already and ask the people we meet, we phone the police, brief, we worry and do something.

You say you have lost faith. Earlier you believed in God, now you don't believe anymore. You prayed and now you don't pray anymore. You read the Bible and now you don't read it anymore. You notice it and take your part.

It is high time to stop asking questions. Did you really have faith? Maybe you have grown up in a Christian family and taken some Christian habits. This was only an appearance,a varnish which doesn't resist to the tests of this time. Faith needs to be fed. The weaker faith is, the more it needs to be fed. You have neglected the reading of the Bible and fled from the contact with faithful Christians. You need to come back to God, confess your sin and put your trust in him alone. "Return to me, for I have redeemed you;" (Isaiah 44, 22)
