All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions - it is by grace you have been saved. Ephesians 2, 3 - 5

Pollution

Apart from some small differences the problem is the same everywhere. Today men are gradually poisoned by exhaust pipes, tobacco, alcohol and a lot of other poisons.

However, do we not also poison our spirits with bad readings, unhealthy and violent films, entertained and growing concerns, jealousy, longings, hatred, desires for revenge?

In order to live a happy life we need to treat our soul as well as our body.

Yet, we notice that it is impossible to treat oneself in this regard. We are to weak, to vulnerable to undertake this step.

Then, let us also acknowledge that we are hardly inclined to do anything. However, Jesus Christ, the Son of God came. He died on the cross and was raised from the dead to enable this job of purification. Without purification we cannot live a happy life.

He promised: "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8, 36).
